Blog post 3: Writing

For me writing has always been difficult, I never really liked it. I never know where to start from, like with this blog. I sit there for hours thinking about different was to introduce the topic, constantly writing and erasing trying to find the best way to word it. Writing is not my strong suit. Then my senior year of high school I decided to take four english classes which had a lot of writing. As to why I did this? I do not know. My favorite one was my creative writing class. I liked this class the most because for once I got to write stories and poems were I got to use my imagination, instead of having to follow a set guideline. But even in this class I had some trouble starting off my papers. I have this trouble because I am too self-critical. I always think there is a better way to do everything. Even if I think of a great idea for a paper, I always end up over think it and shooting it down. So yeah writing is a little difficult for me. I always like getting others opinions of how to start my essay out. Once I get past introducing the topic usually everything just flows right out. I am glad I took so many writing class my senior year because they gave me new strategies on how to write.
Sometimes I wish I never had to write another essay. But I know I need to keep practicing my writing  for my racing career. I need to be able to write a convincing proposal letters to potential sponsors so they will let me on their team. Not only will I need to be able to write amazing proposal letters, I will have to write in my everyday life, wether it be reviews, complaints, DIY instructions, just filling out paper work, etc.

  1. I agree that writing is pretty hard, especially now. It seems like there's always one correct way to write: thesis , intro, topics, conclusion. I feel like there's definitely no fun in that in general, and it's even worse when the topic or prompt is not of interest to you.
