DIY Culture

I have to be honest, my knowledge on DIY is not the broadest; I understand that DIY stands for 'Do It Yourself,' and that DIY is, for the most part, or at least in most cases, arts & crafts. Also, DIY has very strong influence with the mobile app and website, Pinterest. I suppose that because you can post, like, and share pictures with Pinterest, DIY is so strong on that app, but the same can be done with other apps and websites, but Pinterest seems to be the place to go for it. That being said, I used to use Pinterest, and something that I have seen on it that I thought that I could make was almost every post that had cookies in it.
It used to be a regular thing back home to have the beautiful aroma of cookies spread throughout the house. I'm not sure if it was all of the pictures that I seen, but I always had the cravings for cookies, and so I constantly baked them. I can't say that I'm an expert with cookies, but I definitely know a good cookie. I can't remember when I started making cookies, but I know that it has been a very important part of my life. That's weird to say, but it's true. Thinking about it now, you can relate life to cookies. Let's start with gathering the ingredients; this is birth and early life. It takes many basic things to come together to start you off. Then you have the dough; easily molded, this stage in your life is the basis of how you will be as an adult. Next you have the baking or the time in the oven; these are your young adult years. It is important for a cookie to stay in the oven long enough to be a 'good cookie,' but it musn't stay too long or it gets burnt and ruined. So like the cookie, if a young adult doesn't learn enough for the real world, they are obviously not ready for it, but if they spend too much time focusing on things like work, or maybe too much time in school, they miss out on life, and end up never truly living. I could expand on what happens after the oven, but I think I've typed enough.
Here, have a cookie:

  1. I really like your blog because I can relate to it so much. I'm the baker in my family and absolutely love making chocolate chip cookie, so that's awesome we have that in common. Also, the way you compared life to making a batch of cookies was so accurate and a great way to think about the process of life.
