iMake Proposal

I want to make a set of mugs for my dorm room. It's a pretty simple make I think, but the details I include will hopefully make it more intricate and more complex. I chose this make because I thought it sounded fun, and I am also in need of at least one mug in my room. It always seems that I have to borrow a mug from others or bring one from home which is kind of annoying since its pretty fragile. I want to make something durable, cute, and preferably cheap. If I could find some cheap or old materials and convert them into mug materials that would be a great thing for me. I also want my mugs to look good/ cute obviously, but I'm thinking more about exactly how I want to design them. I like the idea of drawing on them in black pen. I like the color scheme of black and white, but I also like the idea of glassware, so I'm not exactly sure. I am sure however, that i want my mug to have handle that doesn't break off, and that preferably is the part of the mug that draws in the eye the most.
