Summary of My I-Make Proposal

I’m caught between two ideas for my I-Make project. My first concept deals with video blogging. In recent years, I have discovered “vloggers” on YouTube and began subscribing to their channels. The content of their videos range from giving advice to attempting challenges. Ever since I began viewing these “vlogs” I have wanted to create my own series of videos. The most difficult aspect of creating a vlog is most likely editing videos. Otherwise, the majority of the process is spent in front of a camera, simply speaking to an invisible audience.
My other concept has to do with designing custom canvas shoes. Art and I have always had a special relationship and I have a slight addiction when it comes to shoes, specifically of the canvas variety. A couple of years ago, while I was searching for a pair of converse to purchase online, I discovered that people were painting their own designs on their blank canvas shoes. Some of these individuals sold their custom Toms, Vans, or Converse for a profit, while others painted their shoes solely for personal use. This idea has always interested me because I have always viewed myself as artistically inclined and capable of completing the activity. The difficulties of designing custom shoes would be researching the correct paint to utilize and developing a concrete plan prior to starting the project.

  1. I love Tyler Oakley, but I think that the shoe idea is awesome and you should totally do something like them!
