You see, community is great for the soul purpose that one is not alone in it, or at least it welcomes others to it. In a community, one can share similar likes with others. Also, knowing that you are not alone in something does a great deal for your mind, and community can offer just that.
As positive as community seems, not everything is perfect. In communities, it is the same thing that makes them so great that they are also bad. Sometimes when you have an idea, you feel special, but true with all people, not everyone shares your idea. Within a community there may be conflict because opposing viewpoints on certain things can cause arguments.
So for communities, there is both a good and a bad side to it.
In my own experience, community has been really good for me, but for a very long time, I hated it. It happened at my high school, and had to do with that thing I said about opposing viewpoints. There was not really anyone that I could see eye to eye with. Conflicts never really broke out, but no one seemed to agree with me. Many saw me as a type of outcast, but I believe it all had to do with how I looked at the situation.
Things actually got better, and my view on community changed for the better, but only after I changed my mindset. Instead of seeing the people around me that were bad for me, I started looking toward my friends and those who were nice to me. And instead of seeing myself as an outcast, I said to myself, "nomad."
I am not sure if I would be right in saying so, but overall, community is good, it's positive. When things seem to be down in the community, the right time and the right mind can really change things for the better.
So this doesn't really have to do with the community that was discussed here, but here's a poster for the show Community:
