I am doing a cosmetic community. This community is
looking for people to share their creativity with and they also solicit
different cosmetic companies to get some profit. Some of the jargon that I
encounter with obviously words that are used to describe what is used and
where. For example @AuroraMakeup uses an eye shadow base to intensify the colors for the eye shadows. An eye shadow
base is usually a light color when using colorful colors on the eyes. The socket
line/eye crease is the part of
the eye that creases when the eye is opening and closing. The brow bone is the bone that the eyebrow
is on. The waterline is the inside
part of the eye where the eyelashes are. And the tear duct is the last part of
the interior part of the line. The eye
lid is what allows the eye to open and close. These are parts on the eye
that are used constantly when people talk about makeup on the eyes. When it
comes to the rest of the face some more jargon that I encounter are words like contouring. Contouring helps to shape
the face out with light and dark shades that are blended to match the skin tone.
It can be used to make the eyes, nose, and lips look either smaller or bigger. It
can also make the face look slimmer depending on the way the contour on the cheekbones
is applied. When it comes to the actual materials, other words like: cat eye effect, pencil brush, flat brush,
blending brush, liquid liner, gel liner and pencil liner are all used. Different
brushes are used for different parts of the face. Some of these words are
pretty much self-explanatory but others are not but looking at the videos and
paying attention to what they put where has helped me find out how to make a
face change.
