My project is to make a piece of String Art. When I started researching String Art I was surprise at how hard it is to find information on the origin of string art and how it has grew over the years. I had to break it down into smaller key words and other terms in order to remotely get some information on it. I even learned that there's a whole other name for string art and that is curve stitching. After I was able to discover who invented the practice of string art then I was able to allow myself to go deeper with the research. I was able to find more things on it's history and this gave new idea to other topics that relates to string art. The reason why this project is a little different to do then other ones that I've done is because I am actually researching in order to bring this project to life. It is kind of really cool to be practically teaching myself to make something new and abstract that I can hopefully master and yet it is not too expensive that I can continue to do it later after this project for the fun of it. The research process is similar to my previous work but also different because there are so many other terms and topics that you would normally not think would be relating to a making of something but it does. And when the story of that make is revealed such as string art, it becomes a pretty awesome project to work on! Below are a few images of what I may use as a guide to make my own piece.
